A Boutique ABA Therapy Experience Designed Around Your Child
Finding the right support for your child can feel overwhelming. Many therapy programs feel rigid, impersonal, or designed to fit a system rather than the child in front of them.
At A Team ABA, we specialize in in-home ABA therapy for children ages 6–12 in LA County, offering personalized, relationship-driven support designed around your child’s unique strengths and needs.
Our goal isn’t to change who your child is.
Our goal is to help them build confidence, communication skills, and independence while honoring their personality, interests, and natural strengths.
Insurance accepted.
Why Families Reach Out for ABA Support
For many families, the school-age years bring challenges that can feel difficult to navigate alone.
As expectations grow at school and in social environments, some children begin to struggle with communication, emotional regulation, routines, or peer relationships.
You might be noticing:
-
Difficulty communicating needs or frustrations
-
Frequent meltdowns or emotional outbursts
-
Challenges with transitions, routines, or flexibility
-
Struggles with peer relationships or social interaction
-
Difficulty managing frustration, sensory overwhelm, or anxiety
-
Stress around school expectations or independence
Many parents describe feeling like they’re constantly trying to figure out what works, searching for ways to create calmer routines and help their child succeed at home and at school.
You shouldn’t have to navigate this alone.
At A Team ABA, we meet families where life actually happens, in your home, within your routines, and inside the real challenges your family is experiencing.
We believe meaningful progress happens when children feel safe, understood, and supported, not pressured or misunderstood.

ABA Therapy That Meets Teens Where They Are
The school-age years are a time of tremendous learning and development. Children are building friendships, navigating school environments, and developing the emotional and social skills that shape their confidence.
For children on the autism spectrum, these experiences can sometimes feel confusing, overwhelming, or frustrating.
Our therapy focuses on helping children build practical skills that support everyday life, including:
Communicating thoughts, needs, and emotions
Building friendships and interacting with peers
Problem-solving in social situations
Managing stress, frustration, and sensory experiences
Building confidence and self-expression
Developing independence with daily tasks
Strengthening focus, routines, and executive functioning skills
In-Home ABA Therapy Designed for Real Life
All services are provided in your home, allowing therapy to take place in the environments where your child naturally lives, learns, and plays.
This allows us to work on skills in real-time situations such as:
-
Family routines
-
Homework and school preparation
-
Playtime and social interaction
-
Daily responsibilities
-
Transitions and problem-solving
Because real progress happens when skills are practiced in the moments that matter most.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
We are in network with Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, Carelon, BlueShield, Magellan, HealthNet
If your insurance provider offers coverage for “behavioral health” and your child has a current diagnosis stating “autism spectrum disorder”, your provider normally covers ABA Therapy Services. However, your coverage might have limitations and copay requirements. You can always contact your insurance provider for eligibility or we would be happy to assist.
How long does the process take before the ABA Services begin?
Normally, the process takes approximately 3 months, but can be less, depending on the authorization from your insurance provider and the completion of the assessment by our BCBA.
Do I get to choose the therapist that provides services to my child?
The therapist assigned to your child is selected by our BCBA who completes the assessment, which takes into consideration your child’s specific behavior and treatment goals.
How is the number of hours determined for my child's therapy?
The number of hours allotted to your child’s therapy is dependent on our BCBA’s assessment, which determines the level of your child’s autism spectrum. More hours are apportioned for a low-functioning diagnosis while less will be apportioned for high-functioning.
As a parent, what is my involvement in the therapy process?
A parent or assigned guardian must be present at all times during direct therapy. Additionally, you must participate in mandatory weekly parent training sessions.
Do you provide services on the weekends and holidays?
Yes, depending on your and the therapists availability.
Can you provide services at my child's school?
Normally, schools provide their own therapists. However, a parent can request the school to allow our therapist to provide the services by petitioning the school. If you are interested in having our therapist provide services to your child in his or her school, please speak to your school’s administration for more information about the process.
How does your outing program work?
If you are interested in having our therapist join you for any outings with your child, you must provide advanced notice to the therapist in order for the therapist to request approval from the program supervisor. You are solely responsible for any expenses incurred by the therapist for travel, accommodations, meals, etc.
