Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that you may have a lot of questions about our ABA Therapy Services and we are here to help. Below you will find a few of the most common questions we get from parents. If you don’t see your questions listed on this page, feel free to contact us.

How long does the process take before the ABA Services begin?

Normally, the process takes approximately 3 months, but can be less, depending on the authorization from your insurance provider and the completion of the assessment by our BCBA.

Will my insurance cover ABA Therapy Services?

If your insurance provider offers coverage for “behavioral health” and your child has a current diagnosis stating “autism spectrum disorder”, your provider normally covers ABA Therapy Services. However, your coverage might have limitations and copay requirements. You can always contact your insurance provider for eligibility or we would be happy to assist.

Do I get to choose the therapist that provides services to my child?

The therapist assigned to your child is selected by our BCBA who completes the assessment, which takes into consideration your child’s specific behavior and treatment goals.

How is the number of hours determined for my child's therapy?

The number of hours allotted to your child’s therapy is dependent on our BCBA’s assessment, which determines the level of your child’s autism spectrum. More hours are apportioned for a low-functioning diagnosis while less will be apportioned for high-functioning.

As a parent, what is my involvement in the therapy process?

A parent or assigned guardian must be present at all times during direct therapy. Additionally, you must participate in mandatory weekly parent training sessions.

Do you provide services on the weekends and holidays?

Yes, depending on your and the therapists availability.

Can you provide services at my child's school?

Normally, schools provide their own therapists. However, a parent can request the school to allow our therapist to provide the services by petitioning the school. If you are interested in having our therapist provide services to your child in his or her school, please speak to your school’s administration for more information about the process.

How does your outing program work?

If you are interested in having our therapist join you for any outings with your child, you must provide advanced notice to the therapist in order for the therapist to request approval from the program supervisor. You are solely responsible for any expenses incurred by the therapist for travel, accommodations, meals, etc.
